Event description

Description

This event is by invitation only.

ONS’s strategy is to develop Better Statistics for Better Decisions, utilising new data sources analysed with new methods and working in partnership with colleagues across government, to transform into a modern, technically focussed, data driven organisation.

For ONS to support Government, the public and the economy it must have much faster, easier access to data, enabled by strong collaborative relationships. We are surrounded by data, and we want to transform how we acquire, process, analyse and publish that data for the public good, developing and supporting ground-breaking new data methods, data science techniques and enabling a wider community of researchers to access as much data as possible safely and securely.

The workshop will bring together Chief Data Architects and Chief Data Officers from government to hear from key speakers in the field of data and computation, talk, network and set the foundations for future collaboration.
