Event Details

On 8th November,  IVHL.org  will organise an event at Geneva Peace Week entitled “Designing a Peace Management System for Corporations working in Fragile States.” The event will take place at 11.15AM in Room IX (3rd Floor), at the United Nations headquarters, Palais Des Nations, in Geneva, Switzerland. We invite you to join us, as our panel explores how private corporations can be a resource for peace building and conflict prevention in fragile states. Our discussion will look at how multinational corporations can use existing internal management system components such as Risk Management, Environmental Management and Supply Chain Security to facilitate peace in conflict prone environments.

Our panelists and speakers are:

Stefanie KochPartner and Program Director,engageability

Rolf Tanner - President of Business Advisory Board, swisspeace

Robert Sadleir - President and Founder, IVHL.org

Julia Hofstetter  - foraus the Swiss Forum on Foreign Policy

Badges can be received from 8 a.m. onwards on Monday 4 November 2019 at the Pregny Gate of the Palais des Nations.  We suggest that attendees download the Whova app, through which the Geneva Peace Week event will go live one week prior to GPW19.

Geneva Peace Week emphasizes that each and every person, actor and institution has a role to play in building peace and resolving conflict. It recognizes that peacebuilding occurs in many different contexts and cuts across disciplines and sectors. In this sense, Geneva Peace Week breaks down professional silos in order to enable creative responses to violence, exclusion and insecurity. By synchronizing meetings and events on different topics related to the promotion of peace during one week, Geneva Peace Week maximizes synergies between organizations in Geneva and their international partners, focusing on the cross-cutting nature of peace.

We wish to thank our organising partners foraus and Think Tank Hub.
