Designing content for victims of violent crime
Event Information
About this event
In this talk, Colin Meney, senior content designer at the Ministry of Justice, will talk about the 'Claim criminal injuries compensation' service for victims of violent crime.
Colin's team found that a lot of their users’ needs were related to the trauma they had been through. The talk will explore how the team worked to meet those needs through content design.
We will also look at how the principles behind this work can be applied to designing content for users who are experiencing trauma or difficult circumstances in other contexts.
*Content warning:* Please note that the speaker will talk about victims of sexual assault. However, the talk will not include the details of any specific incidents.
