FREE CPD event: Designing for the kerbside

The Healthy Streets Scorecard Coalition has teamed up with Project Centre to host a series of Continuing Professional Development events, share knowledge and help support high-quality delivery across London’s boroughs, enabling them to continue improving their performance on the Healthy Streets Scorecard.

Our first workshop will focus on Controlled Parking Zones (CPZs), along with kerbside strategy, policy and design. CPZs are areas where on-street parking is controlled during specified times and play a vital role in encouraging the shift towards more sustainable modes of transport.

The workshop is a practical session and is designed to support transport officers within London’s local authorities explore innovative design and policy, and answer key questions on forecasting, digitisation and other elements relevant to the delivery of CPZs.

There will be three quick-fire modules with presentations, case studies and activities:

  1. Module one: Designing for a safe and sustainable kerbside
  2. Module two: Future-proofing and finances
  3. Module three: Maximising the benefits of digitised TROs

This workshop is free to attend for London local authorities, however places are limited and will be on a first come, first served basis. The event will be followed by an optional free networking lunch. A full agenda will be shared with registered attendees.

Officers within parking, highways, transport and climate teams are encouraged to attend, as the session will also explore how CPZ programmes can be integrated with other sustainable transport schemes.
