Heat networks are rapidly growing across the UK, but with expansion comes new challenges. Safety must be at the forefront of design, operation, and regulation. This event brings together leading voices from across the industry to explore how risks can be identified early and the strategies to design them out before they escalate.

Who will be speaking and what to expect:

• Hywel Davies – Heat Networks and the Building Safety Act
  A briefing on the Building Safety Act and related regulations, focusing on competence, dutyholders, and which parts of a heat network fall under the Act.
• Oliver Railey – Inheritly Safe - for People and Planet
  How centralised heat networks avoid key safety risks found in decentralised systems, and the role of design in ensuring safe operation.
• Huw Blackwell – High-pressure system safety
  Examining the risks associated with high-pressure systems in heat networks and strategies for designing out those risks.
• Adrian Rogers – Refrigerants and safety surrounding R290
  A look at the role of refrigerants in heat networks, with a focus on R290 and the safety challenges it presents.
• Full Agenda TBC – TBC

The day will conclude with panel discussions and networking, offering a chance to reflect on lessons learned and share best practice.
