Event description

Description

AECOM and HEDQF are delighted to present 'Designing out Risk'

History is littered with building failures from collapsing medieval towers to modern stadia roofs and bridges as structures have been pushed to the limit.

Despite all our modern codes, regulations, computer programmes and health and safety protocols, buildings still occasionally fail.

This debate and discussion will focus on how designers and clients such as universities can use the early stages of design and a collaborative approach to minimise the risk of catastrophic failures in buildings.

Chair: Ian Caldwell, King’s College London and Chair of the Events and Conference Committee HEDQF

Panellists include Tony Llewellyn, Collaboration Director at Resolex, Neil Allfrey, Associate Partner at Penoyre & Prasad and Stewart Dabin, Fire Engineering Team, AECOM.

5.30pm: Registration

6.00pm: Debate and discussion

7.00pm: Drinks and nibbles

Location: AECOM, Aldgate Tower, 2 Leman Street, London. E1 8FA
