About this event
From April 1st 2021, Brook is commissioned to provide an all-age sexual health promotion and community HIV prevention service to reduce HIV and STI prevalence, lower transmission rates and incidence of late HIV diagnosis and reduce rates of under-18 conception in Southend on Sea.
Delivery of the programme is facilitated by a team of Brook Health Promotion Specialists, who are highly skilled, knowledgeable and experienced in delivering RSHE and PSHE to young people as well as teachers and professionals.
By the end of the session, participants will have:
• Challenged myths around Sexually transmitted infections.
• Explored stigma surrounding a variety of values, relationships, sexually transmitted infections and other topics
• Identified stigma surrounding Emergency contraception and the barriers accessing services
• Discovered how stigmatisation creates a barrier to good sexual health and the effects
• Gained information on Brook's local offer in Southend on Sea.

This training session will be an online event via Zoom. Attendees will receive a Zoom link 48hours before the training session. If your organisation does not enable the use of Zoom, personal devices can also be used. Due to the topics we will be discussing participants may want to use headphones.
