It has been a breath-taking journey over the past 10 weeks at Destination Africa. The inaugural African Cultural workshops for children and youth launched earlier this year in May 2016. We set out to enhance each individual child holistically. This was achieved in two sessions of children aged 3-9 years of age as they embarked on a journey of discovery learning about the continent and culture of Africa through character building, critical thinking, languages (through communication and expression), geographic countries and facts, historical/significant figures in the diaspora, storytelling, songs & games, debates and money management.
The results have been truly amazing!
Through the creativeness of the topics covered, we have discovered the next generation of entrepreneurs, inventors, doctors, authors, performers etc. with a new passion for Africa and inspiring their community.
To celebrate their achievements and to find out more about Destination Africa, how your children can get involved and actively inspire the next generation, you are welcome to our “Presentation & Awards Day”.
A date for the dairy!
This showcase of the graduating class will consist of presentations, guest speakers, a networking session, fun & games and light refreshments. This is a free event. All members of the public are welcome. We hope to see you and share what this incredible programme is doing.
