Description

Studio B is here to help you #BYourBest, constantly reiterating and improving on our products and sevices catering to your needs and ambitions. In the next few weeks, for our #BYourBest series, we're in the Lab exploring ways B can learn from the world's best coaches, teams and experts to help people achieve their personal best.

With celebrity endorsements and huge promises, the detox has become engrained into health culture as a dieting phenomenon. Cutting out junk food, alcohol, caffeine, sugar and cigarettes is proven to be beneficial, and with our panel of nutrition experts we will be discussing the benefits, downsides, setting the guidelines and asking at what point can a detox go too far.

Nathalie Vauterin is a member of the British Association for Applied Nutrition and Nutritional Therapy (BANT) and registered with Complentary and Natural Healthcare Council (CNHC), with a BSc (Hons) in Nutritional Therapy from the University of Westminster. She is trained as MIND and Nutrition coach for children obesity projects, currently leading MEND sessions in Lewisham focusing on dietary change but also improving self-esteem and addressing behavioural change.

Sophie Medlin is a lecturer of nutrition and dietetics at King's College London and a freelance dietition. She spent time working in the National Health Service before moving to private practice and lecturing. Sophie and Nathalie will be joined by two other panellists, to be confirmed.

Emma King was diagnosed with an underactive thyroid at 20, and felt extreme pressure to lose weight to pursue a career in acting. After becoming a 'plus sized model,' she learned to embrace both her body and a healthy lifestyle, promoting other body shapes on the catwalk.

Amber Fraser is the co-founder of BRAVE, a plant-based snacks company, which she launched together with her husband in July 2017. Being a long-time vegan and always on the hunt to find tastier, healthier and more sustainable snacks to fuel her active lifestyle, Amber took making her own products in her kitchen and from that BRAVE was born. BRAVE’s first product is Crunchy Roasted Peas, launching in moreish flavours like Sea Salt, Paprika & Chilli and Garlic & Chive. Always looking for foods high in protein, high in fibre, vegan and locally grown, Amber offers a great unique perspective to our concept of food.

This is one night only, and there is limited seating available, so detox from your normal life and join us for what will undoubtledly be a very interesting evening. See you there!
