Law graduate Devdas (Shah Rukh Khan) returns home to India after 10 years of study in London, hoping to marry his childhood sweetheart Paro (Aishwarya Rai). But his family are against the match and his life soon spirals out of control. Based on Sarat Chandra Chattopadhyay’s novel from 1917.
