Aimed at those who wish to understand compassion and how to cultivate it in their lives and their practice.

Aims of the workshop:
What is compassion and why is it important?

Understanding the theory and research behind mindful self-compassion - including understanding our complex minds and negative bias.
The three arrows of suffering what are they and how do we attend to them with compassion
How to integrate mindfulness and self-compassion skills into daily life
Looking at failure, self-criticism and inadequacy and responding with self-kindness
Looking at Paul Gilberts three-circle model and connecting to the soothe system
How to enhance and deepen connection with others

This is an experiential course which will involve theory and an introduction to a series of meditative techniques to cultivate self-compassion

Presenters:
Elke Ambrose holds a degree in Psychology and is a fully qualified mindfulness teacher through the Mindfulness Association and has 20 years’ experience in the corporate sector. She is registered with COSCA and the BPS. Jan Grigg holds a Masters in mindfulness from University of Aberdeen and has a degree in cell biology. Jan has been teaching for over 2- years and held the positions of head teacher and biology teacher she has taught over 3000 students and adults to meditate.

Cost:
Early Bird £80, £90 after 8 April 2018 - Please note that a delegate space is not guaranteed until payment is received.
Refreshments, snacks, handouts and CPD certificate are included in the price.
Note – lunch is not included.
