Developing a Digital Presence: Getting your voice truly heard
Wed 31 May 2017, 14:00 – 17:00 BST
With social media becoming an increasingly crowded field, it can be difficult to get your voice truly heard.
This session will be led by Design Network North's Marketing Officer Briony McStea, who is looking forward to introducing you hashtags, trends and analytic tools. She believes that taking control of your digital presence is the best way to make sure you have the strongest say in the way your brand is portrayed online and beyond.
Your business is being talked about, and probably online. Taking part in that narrative gives you the opportunity to define your brand, rather than let others define it on your behalf.
We’ll be looking at
- What platforms are out there, and which ones are actually useful to you
- Building an online community
- Differentiating between your professional and personal identity online
- Building your own social media guidelines
- Converting visitors into customers
- Understanding analytics
This professional development workshop is for emerging artists and other creative practitioners looking to commercialise their work. It has been funded by Design Network North, Arts Council England and Newcastle City Library
