Overview

Young people will explore stereotypes are body image and develop an understanding of body positivity.

This event is for young people aged 14-24, please do not book if you are not in this age group. 

The Nook from SAMH provides barrier-free access to mental health support, with no need to book an appointment, no need for referrals, and no waiting lists. Anyone looking for support can walk through the door and get help fast. 

Delivered by the Scottish Action for Mental Health's Children and Young People team. 

This workshop allows young people to understand how body image can be a stressor for young people and the impact body image can have on mental health.

The workshop will consider the concept of the ‘perfect body’ and stereotypes around body image.

Young people will explore body positivity and the positive effects that this has on confidence, self-esteem, and body image.

Young people will learn the importance of self-care, along with how to support themselves and others, and the support available to them through national organisations.
