About this event

This workshop supports people in understanding and building their Emotional Intelligence at work.

Here’s the thing about emotions, we have them - changes at work can be emotionally intense, feeling manipulated by someone can affect our work not being able to influence or put our point of view across in a way that gets taken seriously can cause anger and frustration, having conflict with a group of people can be draining. All of the above can play havoc with our resilience and over a period of time can lead to burnout.

The great news is that we can gain a greater understanding of our emotions and manage them to help us to reduce stress, communicate in a way that makes people feel heard and influence and lead in all our relationships by beginning to understand and consciously work on building our own Emotional Intelligence.

IQ and technical skills are still relevant and important and you wouldn't get far without them, a study carried out by HBR found that 80% of competencies that differentiate top performers from others are in the domain of Emotional Intelligence.

On this workshop we take a practical look at Emotional Intelligence to:

• Understand what emotional intelligence is and how it benefits us

• Work through each component and identify ways to improve

• Learn strategies to manage self especially in times of pressure and stress

• Improve your communication to build trust and responsibility
