BaseKX is an impressive building and space within UCL dedicated to encourage entrepreneurial spirit. This is a place for our new community to grow and support each other in our journeys. It's based a walk along the canal from St Pancras, where many creative initiatives live.
Zubair Junjunia, UCL graduate will be our guest speaker. He is the National Youth Leader for the UK at the Global Partnership for Education, advisory board member of DEFI at Cambridge University and the EY Foundation as well as a One Young World ambassador. An SDG advocate, he has been published and spoken internationally including at the 74th UN General Assembly, ITU Regional Innovation Forum and TEDx
He is a founder of ZNotes - a global student movement he started at 16 and today, has reached over 3.5 million students from all over the world. He is the recipient of the Diana Legacy Award - the "highest accolade a young person can receive for their social and humanitarian efforts".
ZNotes is a global student movement that is fighting educational inequality by leveraging community-led content creation and peer learning to level the playing field for high-stakes, end-of-school exams. ZNotes allows students to maximise their potential by having free access to high-quality educational resources; revision notes, live videos, podcasts, and a peer-to-peer learning space. An award-winning social impact startup, ZNotes has received support from Facebook, EY Foundation, and UCL, as well as funding from Google, Amazon, and GlobalGiving.
