Description

Developing High Quality Teaching Programme

‘To engage, enhance, empower and equip…’

The Developing High Quality Teaching programme is aimed at teachers with the potential and capacity to deliver consistently high quality lessons, and who want to develop a mindset of excellence. During the six sessions throughout the year, participants will improve their practice through facilitated opportunities to reflect on teaching approaches and their quality and impact. We aim to provide teachers with:

  • the ability to demonstrate higher level understanding of teaching and improve learning for their pupils;
  • the ability to support a proactive school culture where the quality of teaching and learning is openly observed, discussed, challenged and enhanced;
  • increased opportunities for further leadership of teaching and learning and career progression.

The six sessions will focus on:

  • quality teaching and learning through engagement with children;
  • positive behaviour management – strategies for success;
  • differentiation – ‘Blooms’ and beyond;
  • creating a climate of enquiry – quality questioning;
  • two sessions on assessment for learning.
