Practical strategies which support the development of mental fitness in children and young people.

About this Event

Development of a supportive mindset, practical coping strategies and resilience are key to ensuring the emotional wellbeing and mental fitness of young people, but would you know how to help cultivate mental fitness in the young people you work with? This interactive one-day workshop introduces delegates to key principles around mental fitness, supports them to explore how mental fitness can be incorporated into current organisational policy and practices and shares practical tools and strategies which can be used with young people to develop mental fitness.

This workshop will support delegates to understand:

  • What is mental fitness? Why is it important?
  • Cultural interventions which support development of mental fitness
  • The importance of relationships in supporting mental fitness
  • Signs and indicators of poor mental fitness in young people
  • The link between communication and coping methods
  • Practical strategies and tools to support young people in developing or maintaining mental fitness

"One of the most useful / relevant workshops I've done!" - Workshop Delegate (2019)
