Description

Dudley Borough Health and Wellbeing Board invites you to its 2018 Conference:

Developing New Relationships with our Communities

9.30-3.00 19th October Himley Hall

Agenda to follow

Dudley’s health and wellbeing strategy sets out four principles to inform the way in which we all work together in the future. The first principle focuses on developing a new relationship with our communities. As organisations we need to focus on the things that only we can offer, and work with our communities to support them to share their valuable skills and time with each other to build their own resilience. We need to work together so that Dudley Borough will be a place of healthy, confident and resilient communities with high aspirations and the ability to shape their own future.

Join us to explore what this means in practice. Two workshops will enable us to develop a different way of working in the context of:

  • Growing connected resilient communities. This workshop will highlight local examples of good practice, explore what is required to help us have connecting conversations, and share how we can commission for community resilience outcomes.

  • Prioritising Adversity- tackling adverse child experiences and trauma informed care across the lifecourse. This workshop will look at how the system can work to prevent adverse childhood experiences and build resilience to minimise their impact when they do occur.

Places are limited so early booking is essential

Lunch and refreshments will be provided.
