Event description

Description

Through my experience of working with people, I came to the realisation that the fundamental element of unfulfillment, stress and lack of joy in life is due to the lack of self-compassion or self-love.

Self-compassion involves being kind to ourselves when life goes the way we wouldn’t like it to go and we notice something about ourselves we don’t like instead of being harsh and self-critical. It recognizes that human condition is imperfect and enables us to feel connected to others even when we fail or suffer, rather than feeling separate or isolated.

This experiential workshop focuses on development of self-compassion through use of meditation and visualisation, explorative art making and reflecting.
During these 4 weeks you will be meditating, image making, reflecting and developing invaluable skills of art of being gentle to yourself.
Developing self-compassion helps us to remain stable and provides us with care and support in times of need.
It offers many benefits such as decreased anxiety and depression and greater happiness.
We can learn to feel good about ourselves not because we’re special and above average, but because we are worthy of respect.

Everyone benefits from this workshop, especially those of you who:
- are too self-critical and doubt yourself frequently
- are not happy with how you look and feel
- are looking to feel more fulfilled and happy
- feel overwhelmed and stressed out
- find it hard to make decisions

This workshop is facilitated on Tuesday mornings from 10:30 – 12:30 for four consecutive weeks, starting on 26.02.19
The contribution is €120 for the full workshop, all materials included.
Location is 78 Prospect Hill, (above the Post office), Galway City
