Developing Sustainable Leadership Through Succession Planning
Sessions led by Jen Curran, Lead Associate, Wren & Greyhound
Sustainable leadership, like organisational sustainability, is challenging and complex. It requires organisations and their leaders to respond to the adaptive and technical challenges of complex and evolving environments.
Succession is something that all organisations experience – it’s a case of when, not if. Preparing for succession is therefore key to building sustainable leadership capacity, and it’s best to begin the process before it’s needed. This session will support participants to explore some of the key responses required to support proactive and holistic succession planning, including building leadership capacity, developing knowledge management processes and contingency planning. This will ensure organisations are in good shape for planned and unplanned succession, increasing the chances of post-succession survival.
Join Jen and your leadership peers for practical tips, approaches and resources to help develop and embed effective succession plans and processes in your organisation.
Delegates will gain:
- Better understanding of sustainable leadership and how to address it.
- Improved understanding of the technical and adaptive responses required to support succession planning.
- Access to practical approaches and helpful tools for developing succession planning in their organisation.
