Who is this workshop for?

Parents of young people aged 5 – 11 who would like to be able to support their child with developing the skills to recognise, label and understand their emotions effectively. This workshop is Part 1 in our Emotional Wellbeing Series.

- What is emotional literacy and why is it important?

- How to support your child with labelling/recognising their emotions

- Why do people experience emotions differently?

- Concepts to support children’s emotional literacy including the PACE model, attunement and co-regulation

- Strategies to develop your child’s emotional literacy

- Signposting and additional resources

What will I learn?

- Education around how and why children experience emotions

- Practical tips and strategies to support your child in building their emotional literacy
