About this event

About this Event

This event is free to voluntary organisations based in Kingston upon Thames, and £30 to those in neighbouring boroughs.

In this session, we will look at what’s meant by a ‘Theory of Change’ and how it enables an organisation to plan and evaluate your work. You will learn how to articulate and connect the changes (outcomes) your organisation wants to make with the activities you intend to carry out.

Outcomes

This session will enable you to:

  • Understand what’s meant by a ‘Theory of Change’
  • Understand how it’s used for planning and evaluation
  • Increase your confidence and skill in developing a Theory of Change for your own organisation.

Who should attend

This course is for anyone involved in running a small voluntary organisation, including those responsible for monitoring and evaluation and strategy development, who want to better understand articulate the work they do and its impact.

Training provider

Alison Ewart is Funding and Organisational Development Officer at Kingston Voluntary Action. She has extensive experience of working with voluntary organisations on a range of governance and organisational issues. She has also worked in a number of front-line voluntary organisations, and as a Grants Manager in a charitable trust
