Our in-person development days bring together some of our key online workshops into a one day, in-person training event.

About this event

It can be difficult at first, but talking about mental health is really important and there can often be a stigma attached to people reaching out for help.

In this workshop we will explore what is mental health and some common mental health conditions, including:

  • Mental health, personal recovery and the mental health continuum
  • Stress and the risk of overdoing
  • Introduction to anxiety, depression and common mental health conditions
  • Supporting our own and other peoples mental health

Leeds Recovery College opened in 2019 and delivers a range of education and training courses that have been specifically designed to increase awareness and understanding of mental health, wellbeing and personal recovery.

Courses are co-designed and run by people with lived experience of mental health problems and health professionals, trainers and education providers.

Our courses are open to all adults who live, work or study in Leeds and you don’t need to be referred to the college to book on a course. Simply enrol on the course or workshop that is of interest to you.

Once you've made you're Eventbrite booking, we will get in touch and ask you to complete a course enrolment form to confirm your course place. You will receive course confirmation and joining instructions before the course starts and this will include information about the course.
