Development of a NHS Tayside Catering Strategy

This event will be of interest to staff working within the catering service and those who come in contact with the service e.g. nursing staff, allied health professionals, public partners and staffside. You may be involved in providing the Catering Service, assisting the catering team with menu planning or review, be involved in serving meals to patients or use the non patient catering service such as the dining rooms and cafes. If so, then please come along and assist the catering team to develop a NHS Tayside Catering Strategy which considers the issues we face locally and the NHS Scotland (2016) National Catering Production Strategy.

Aim

To engage with catering staff and users of the patient and non-patient Catering Service to produce a NHS Tayside Catering Strategy

Objectives

• Celebrate the many areas of success within the Catering Service
• Describe the challenges the Catering Service currently face
• Describe the NHS Scotland (2016) National Catering Production Strategy and the potential implications for the Catering Service
• Explore what the Catering Service should look like in the future and its vision
• Identify what is required in order to achieve the future vision of the Catering Service
