Description

The course’s teaching objectives are:

  • Promote the concept of device future- and in particular health system-proofing based on MR compatibility;

  • Disseminate knowledge and promote exchanges between all people involved in the safe use in, and development of devices for, the MR environment.

The lectures are grouped under the following 3 themes:

  • "Can I Put this Person With this Thing in the MRI Scanner?" (Day 1)

  • "Physical Principles for Device Design and Applications" (Day 2)

  • "Towards Getting a Device Approved: Standards and Regulations" (Day 3)

The lecturers come from academia (all levels of seniority), industry (large and small), health sector and regulatory bodies. All are recognised experts in the fields of: MR physics, medical devices (engineering, R&D and commercialisation), radiography and biomedical data analysis.
