About this event
Get ready for an unforgettable day taking on the infamous Devil's Coach Road, where breath taking views and rugged cliffs promise an epic adventure. This in-person event is perfect for those looking for something a little higher octane.
On Sun Sep 28, 2025, we will gather at Start Location – Carrick Little (top carpark), the starting point of our Devil's Coach Road Loop Hike.
*This is the very last carpark up the lane past the pods. There is a charge of £3 in an honesty box, or feel free to use the public carpark at the bottom of the lane and walk up in time for the start time.
Join us for an epic mountain adventure to tackle the Devils Coachroad! This hike takes in the splendour of the Annalong valley before attempting the scramble up through the Devils Coachroad gulley on Slieve Beg. This is the final challenge of the No Ordinary Adventure series and will be a great way to finish the series, climbing this iconic feature in the Mourne Mountains.
This hike is an amazing stand alone adventure but it also forms part of the No Ordinary Adventure Series.
We will start off at Carrick Little Top Carpark and hike along the Annalong valley, following the more remote riverside trails, until we reach the base of Slieve Beg and the start of the Devils Coachroad. We climb up through this amazing gulley and after celebrating our success, we descend down to Cove lough, returning along the base of Cove and Lamagan, where we rejoin the Annalong valley trail back to our start location.
This hike is intermediate level with regards to how technical the route is. Good fitness, a head for heights and sure footing is required. We will be venturing off trail and a short scramble will be required to gain the top of the Devils Coachroad.
