Event Details

It has been over two years since Greater Manchester's devolution deal was announced. By far the most surprising aspect of this deal was the devolution of the region’s full health and care budget.

This event will take stock of the progress made so far and look at the future vision for the devo-health agenda. Andy Burnham MP will deliver a keynote speech and IPPR will launch its latest report, 'Devo-Health: Where Next?'.

Our speakers will address a number of key questions, including:

  • What powers should Greater Manchester and other devo-health areas pursue in the future, if any?
  • What is the role for the new Metro Mayor in health?
  • How can Greater Manchester’s other powers across transport, housing, planning, policing and employment be utilised to support improved health outcomes across the region?
