Civil Service Local is pleased to have partnered with the Constitution Group to deliver an interactive Discovery Sessions on Devolution and why it should matter to you.

The session will look at the history of devolution in the UK and what it means for civil servants today. It will explore the complexities surrounding the devolution settlements across the UK and consider how EU Exit is changing the way devolution works in practice.

Speakers from Constitution Group in the Cabinet Office will share their experiences and insights and you will also get a chance to hear from the Scottish Government, Social Security Scotland about the very recent devolution of welfare powers to Scotland, providing a valuable insight into how devolution is working in practice.

If you want to know more about devolution in the meantime, there is training available on the Civil Service Learning portal. You can also get in touch with your departmental devolution contact, or the Cabinet Office’s government and devolution team,
