Welcome to our next {dev.talk} event: "The one where we connect before re:connect"

This is a special event in conjunction with re:connect conference. We will be hosting a networking and mixer event for all those in the tech industry in Dorset, it will be a chance to meet others in the tech industry, other conference attendees, possibly talk to some of the speakers, meet some of the organisers and volunteers, have a drink and a fun quiz too.

It is an informal event. You do not require a re:connect conference ticket to attend this event

We are back again at Patch in Bournemouth Town Centre.

Event starts at 7pm

Event finishes at 9pm

As this is not a normal {dev.talk} event, we have asked Patch to open their Bar area so attendees can purchase drinks.

Who is re:connect

re:connect conference is hosted in Dorset and aims to bring tech conferences to this picturesque part of the UK’s beautiful south coast boasting a number of tech and digital businesses. A thriving community of modern, innovative and ambitious talent joining forces to learn from each other as well as industry experts.

Who is {dev.talk}

A small team of people who are passionate about the local software engineering community, who realised that a lot of the needs are not being met, so pushed through their fears, and are trying to "Be the change they want to see in the world".

We come together regularly and share knowledge allowing us all to learn and grow in our chosen fields and careers.

It is a relaxed environment where everyone is welcome from all backgrounds and technical levels.

We will be aiming for talks (& lightning talks) that are of any level, and any software engineering based skill. This will include deep dives into technical subjects, soft skills, mental health, career progression etc.

All levels of speaking/presentation skills will be accepted, and actively encouraged.

We want {dev.talk} to feel like friends who support each other.
