Event description
Join us on the 22nd of April: The Dutch Fund for Climate and Development (DFCD) is looking for scalable climate solutions in Uganda.

About this Event

The Dutch Fund for Climate and Development (DFCD) is organising an extra push for proposals by launching the Scalable Climate Solutions Challenge in Uganda.

We’re looking for business models and potentially bankable projects in sectors, such as climate resilient agroforestry, landscape regeneration, water management and fresh water supply, agriculture or aquaculture.

To learn more about the climate challenges in Uganda and how the DFCD could support your project’s in scaling successfully, we’re organizing this interactive online event.

During this webinar, a Ugandan forestry company shares its story of how it is helping to create resilience for people and nature, and how the DFCD is supporting the project. We will also explain the selection criteria of the DFCD.

One project per country will be provided with a development contribution of up to € 350K from the existing DFCD Origination facility, get a chance to present their project at COP26 in Glasgow and become eligible for larger support from DFCD.

Our panel for the day:

  • Aaron Vermeulen, Head of Green Finance, WWF
  • Martin Asiimwe, Forest and Biodiversity Program Coordinator WWF Uganda
  • Alex Kyabawampi, Uganda head of CSR at New Forests Company
  • Rik Recourt, Associate for DFCD, FMO
