About this event
We are delighted to announce that we are running the life-changing employment programme for young people with learning disabilities and autism with the Humberside Police for the second year running.
DFN Project SEARCH is a one-year supported police staff internship programme for 18 to 24-year-olds who have come to the end of their academic journey and are ready to enter the world of work. The program will provide vital work-based learning opportunities here at Humberside Police, which will help interns develop their employability skills and provide hands-on workplace experience.
All applicants must have an EHCP in place.
We've teamed up with Hull City Council, DFN Project Search, Bishop Burton College and East Riding of Yorkshire Council to make sure the 10 selected interns are fully supported. They will have dedicated on-site tutors and employability coaches to help build on practical skills with classroom-based learning.
