Innovation thrives from diversity of thought. While the UK’s tech sector is one of the swiftest growing sectors in the UK - the proportion of women in the tech sector has flatlined at 16% since 2009. Even worse, women in Science, Engineering and Technology management roles dropped to 14% in 2019.

For International Women’s Day 2020, the Department for Transport will be holding a series of events showcasing the innovative digital and tech developments for government services - and the inspirational women who are driving these projects forward.

Join this #IWD2020DFT event to share insights and experience from women within tech. Hear about current projects, what can be done at all levels to encourage and support women in digital & tech, and the challenges and opportunities for UK’s tech sector going forward.
