Description

TESTING, TESTING.

Introducing DHAL + DIY at the Old Bank Residency.

An afternoon of activities designed to celebrate DIY culture, always paired with a bowl of delicious dhal.

Each week will feature DHAL, DIY, DANCE, DEBATE and DRAWING led by some of the finest creative minds Manchester has to offer.

Here's what's happening on our first week:

DHAL - squash dhal topped with chilli and coriander.

DIY - help the NOMA team plant up boxes for the edible Christmas Tree coming to Sadler's Yard this winter.

DANCE - enjoy Paul and Linda McCartney's 1971 album RAM as it was designed to be heard in a full album playback.

DEBATE - discussion and debate are healthy partners; join the Standard Practice team to debate their latest topic - the importance of civic space in cities.

DRAW - local artist and bank manager Neil will lead you through this workshop on how to to draw your dinner (because food photography is so 2018).

And because we love you, the first week is ON US.

Enjoy all of the above for free from 12pm on Friday 8th November.

FAQs

Is there an age restriction for entry to DHAL + DIY?

No! Everyone is welcome to join us for these afternoons.

Is there parking nearby?

The closest parking is pay and display at NCP Shudehill or the RCP car park on Dantzic Street.

We are perfectly located between Shudehill and Manchester Victoria Train Station for public transport and only 5 minutes from the Northern Quarter by foot.

Are you dog friendly?

Dogs are welcome at the Old Bank Residency but must be kept on their lead at all times.

Do I have to come for the full afternoon?

No! You're welcome to come for as long or as short as you would like.

All activities will be run on a drop-in basis between 12-4pm.

I can't make this Friday! When is it happening next?

DHAL + DIY will be a feature on the Old Bank Residency calendar every Friday for the next six months, so there's plenty of opportunity to get involved!

After the first week, tickets will be priced at £5 for entry; this will get you access to all activities and plenty of dhal.
