Tanya Lines: Lead for D&I at the Defence, Science and Technology Laboratory (Dstl).
Tanya joined Dstl in 2012,and has many years of experience working within diversity & inclusion. After graduating from Nottingham University with a Masters in Occupational Psychology in 2004, she began working for the Wiltshire Police as an Equality and Diversity Officer, spearheading an Outreach Officer Programme, helping to attract their first Sikh and Goan Officers. A mother of two, she is now the Lead for D&I at the Defence, Science and Technology Laboratory (Dstl), embedding it across the business. Her enthusiasm for the subject and drive to empower has resulted in some unique approaches that cater for Dstl’ s innovative and neuro diverse people. Dstl’s Employee Support Networks - that Tanya embedded - are great examples of this and despite resource challenges, they have been three times finalists in the prestigious Civil Service D&I Awards
Dr Nancy Doyle: Genius Within
Dr Nancy Doyle is a Research Fellow with Birkbeck University having completed her Doctoral Research at City University of London on the effectiveness of coaching used as a disability accommodation. In 2019 she was recognised by the British Psychological Society for her contribution to Policy Impact in Occupational Psychology.
Dr Nancy Doyle is the founder and CEO of Genius Within, an international social enterprise dedicated to developing talent and achieving success with ADHD, Autism, Dyslexia, Dyspraxia, Tourette Syndrome, Mental Health, using The Organisational Science of Neurodiversity: Evidence-based solutions for individuals, teams and professionals.
Genius Within works with thousands of individual clients and employers every year, with a team of 150 psychologists and coaches. Nancy’s work has contributed to the positive narrative around embracing our cognitive diversity through her professional practice, research, policy influencing, television documentaries, webinars, articles and publications Nancy helped create and featured in both series’ of the award-winning BBC Two series Employable Me, syndicated in 2019 in the USA as ‘The Employables”, where Nancy continued to deliver the trademark positive assessments and Employable Genius group coaching with some extraordinary individuals as they search for work. The show has been incredibly successful in showing that neurodiversity should not be a barrier to employment.
