Diabetes Together 2025 Conference

T-1 Today UK presents its annual Diabetes Together Conference for individuals and families living with type 1 diabetes. The weekend is sure to be filled with fun and laughter, some tears and frustrations, education, exciting challenges and cutting edge information. Join our group of world-renowned clinicians, researchers, consultants and guest speakers who live with T1 diabetes. Attend educational sessions, participate in group discussions, share your story and help to support and motivate others who are on the same journey as you. Watch children of all ages become "Friends for Life" and see their excited faces as their bonds develop. From toddlers to grandparents, from those new to the T1 world to those more experienced, from laypeople to the medical professionals, we will all join together and make new and lifelong friendships. This is a conference you will never forget and one you will want to come back to again and again and again.

Registration Line Opening times

Saturday 8th February at 8am – Saturday 15th February 2025 at 11am – First Timers only

Saturday 15th February at 12 noon onwards - Everyone, including First Timers who missed initial registration

Who can attend:-

• Children with Type 1 diabetes and their families
• Adults (aged 18+) with Type 1 diabetes and their spouses/partners and families
• Parents, Grandparents, Caregivers of a Type 1
• Medical Professionals.

Youth Groups:- Children must be registered as their actual age as at 23rd October 2025 and NOT their age at time of registration. Children cannot be moved up or down to be with other family members/friends - each group’s programme is age specific:-

• Childcare 0-3 years
• Reception 4-5 years
• Elementary 6-9 years
• Tweens 10-12 years
• Teens 13-17 years

Everyone attending the Conference MUST register, it is not just our T1 heroes who require to do so. When completing each registration form, please register the adults first before the children and answer the questions in relation to each person being registered. Please do not include information about your T1 on any registration form except their own. Every question requires an answer to register each person. If you have omitted to answer a question, it will not allow you to proceed with your booking.

Registration fees

Registration Fees from Monday 12th May 2025 onwards:-

£120 (incl VAT) per person aged 6 and above

£60 (incl VAT) per person aged 3-5 years

FOC for ages 0-35 months

• Focus Groups on Thursday 23rd October hosted by our Platinum Sponsors during the day (more information to follow)
• Meeting the Exhibitors with Professor Brian Kennon, T-1 Today UK's Medical Advisor, at 4.30 pm on Thursday
• All sessions from Thursday night’s Welcome Keynote to Sunday morning’s Closing Keynote
• Full Youth Programme from Thursday night to Sunday lunchtime for the Under 3s, Reception, Elementary, Tweens, and Teens (Teens & their staff offsite on Saturday)
• 3-course Dinner - Thursday, Friday and Saturday evenings
• Thursday Night Finger Buffet Reception (from 8.30 pm)
• All snacks between sessions on Friday, Saturday and Sunday
• 3-course Lunch - Friday, Saturday and Sunday
• Movie Night/Entertainment on Friday evening
• Family Party on Saturday evening - all welcome

Registration fees are for the Conference only: hotel accommodation is NOT included.

Registration Fee Refunds :-

Available until 23rd September 2025, ie 30 days prior to the event, and thereafter will only be available if there is a waiting list. Please note that there is a cancellation fee of £25 per person aged 6+, and £20 per person aged 3-5 years. T-1 Today UK hugely subsidises all registrations as well as absorbing all booking fees and charges per person to keep the costs as low as possible for our delegates .

Conference Daily Plan:-

Thursday 23rd October

• Conference Registration Desk opens at 10 am for the duration of weekend
• Focus Groups hosted by our Platinum Sponsors during the afternoon (more information to follow)
• Exhibition Hall Opens at 2.30 pm to visit our Sponsors and Exhibitors booths
• “Meeting the Exhibitors” with Professor Brian Kennon, our Medical Advisor at 4.30 pm
• Dinner served from 5 – 6.45 pm in Beardmore
• “Welcome” Address by Professor Brian Kennon and our Sponsors in Auditorium to all delegates (18+) and Faculty at 7.30 pm
• Youth Icebreakers, aged 0-17 years, at 7.30 pm in their respective youth group rooms
• Finger Buffet Reception in the Exhibition Hall with our Sponsors and Exhibitors where you will meet Conference Faculty and Youth Group staff at 8.30 pm

Friday 24th & Saturday 25th October

• Exhibition Hall open both days during snack breaks between sessions, lunchtimes, and after 4.15 pm
• 4 sessions both days for all delegates, including the Opening Keynote at 9.15-10.15 am on Friday morning. Thereafter all adult sessions have 3 breakout groups – 2 for parents/grandparents/caregivers and one for T1 Adults/Young Adults (18+) and their partners/spouses
• Full Youth Programme for all children 0-17 years
• Movie Night or some other entertainment (Friday)
• Teen Offsite Trip to Bear Grylls Adventure(Saturday)
• Family Party (Saturday)

Sunday 26th October

• Exhibition Hall open until 11.30 am
• 2 sessions for all delegates, including Closing Keynote (sessions commence at 9.45 am on Sunday to allow time for checkout)
• Full Youth Programme
• “Farewell” Lunch (12.30-2.30 pm)

Accommodation on B&B basis:-

Single Adult Occupancy (18+) - £120 pn

Double Adult Occupancy (18+) - £130 pn

Child Supplement (ages 12 – 17 years) - £10 pp pn

Child Supplement (ages 3- 11 years) - £5 pp pn

0-35 months FOC

Please be aware the hotel only has 92 bedrooms, albeit most of them are family rooms. However, for families requiring 2 rooms, the cost of the accommodation will be 2 x single occupancy rooms + the appropriate supplement for the chid/children. No rooms can be occupied by a child under the age of 18 without an adult in the room.

Hotel Reservations will be available from Monday 24th February 2025 (please DO NOT attempt to book prior to this date, as your booking will not be accepted)

Scholarship Fund:-

We offer full scholarships each year to up to 4 families of 4, who have a type 1 child aged between 0 and 17 years of age. The families must be first timers, not attended a conference before, and not registered to attend this year's conference. Applications may be made from Saturday 1st March. The closing date for applications is 30th June 2025. If you think you may qualify for a scholarship please do not register to attend. If you do your application will not be considered. Successful applicants will be notified between the end of July & 17th August 2025.

Criteria:-

1. Financial need - this is the primary criteria

2. Commitment to learning more about Type 1 diabetes and improving care

3. Interest in meeting like-minded people at the conference and sharing experiences
