Queen’s University Belfast is delighted to host a special seminar in honour of Professor Usha Chakravarthy’s career as she retires from NHS work this year.

On Friday 13th October 2017, at Riddell Hall, a national and international gathering of experts who have collaborated with Professor Chakravarthy throughout her career will come together for this unique event. The seminar will cover novel aspects of diagnosis and management of age-related macular degeneration (AMD), diabetic retinopathy and retinal vascular diseases. These retinal diseases are the leading causes of blindness in Northern Ireland and represent a substantial burden to the NHS.
