Description

Welcome

Following the success of the last Dialysis Academy we are pleased to launch the Spring programme. Our meeting opens on World Kidney Day 2018, to celebrate “Kidneys and Women’s Health – Include, Value and Empower” we will discuss how to support pregnancy with dialysis.

Your feedback asked for patient’s perspectives on decision-making and shared care, these themes are well represented encompassing dialysis starts, transplantation and the perspective of youth and older age. We also welcome innovative learning about prevention of established renal failure, creation of optimal vascular access, elimination of hepatitis C, and the use of daily haemodialysis.

Our multidisciplinary nature is our strength in our care for patients treated with dialysis, be it nurse, therapists, pharmacists or doctors. Please contribute your knowledge and skills freely. Certificates of attendance will be available with return of feedback forms at the end of the course we are interested in your opinion and will act.

Neill Duncan, Edwina Brown, Ginny Prout, Richard Corbett, Damien Ashby
