This workshop is for anyone involved in making or creativity using:
- traditional or digital tools
- creative software for making music or graphics
- online platforms for learning skills or sharing projects, such as Etsy, Youtube, or Instructables
This is an active making workshop where you will get to use Lego and other simple materials to make some things, discuss your making practice, and share ideas and experiences in the company of other makers.
Led by a member of the DiDIY project team, the workshop is designed to be an enjoyable way to take time out to reflect on your own practice and the meaning of making. It will give you the chance to do some creative exercises, learn from other makers and contribute your perspective to our research.
This workshop is free, but spaces are limited, so please sign up here, and if you can't make it, let us know so we can release your ticket to someone else.

The University of Westminster is part of a research project into DiDIY (Digital DIY). This research will be used alongside data gathered from a number of other workshops to inform a report into the wider social impact of making from the makers’ perspective – looking at makers’ motivations, opportunities and experiences with digital technologies and making.
Participants will be asked for consent to be recorded during the workshops, individuals will not be identified in research results.
