About This Exhibition

Ever clicked “I agree” without reading? You’re not alone.

Reading just one set of terms and conditions can take nearly 50 hours - the same as reading War and Peace. Meanwhile, your data is being collected, shared, and used in ways that have real consequences. Period tracker data gets used for targeted marketing. Social media activity can rule you out of jobs.

But you can do things to limit how your data is used. And if we care about the problem, we can push for better solutions.

#didntreadthetandcs is an interactive exhibition that makes privacy implications visible and engaging.

What to Expect

➜ 6:00pm - 9:00pm - Drop in anytime to explore the interactive exhibition

➜ 6:30pm - Artist talk with Sophie Sparkes (exhibition creator)

The exhibition features approximately 6 interactive pieces including:

  • A physical bar chart where you are one of the axes
  • Interactive data storytelling experiences
  • Participatory activities where you add your voice (stickets!!)
