Nutrigenomics in Practice

by Angela Heap

CNM London | Wednesday 29th November 2017 | 6.30pm - 8.30pm

A presentation on why and how to use DNA testing in practice, including considerations when choosing a test; and analysis and interpretation - starting with single genes and SNPs that affect specific food and micronutrients and quickly building up to more complex, and interesting, biochemical pathway analysis.

Angela will discuss the need to join the dots and need to consider the interconnectedness of genes with other genes, cofactors and inhibitors across  systems. She will present the key genes and variants impacting methylation, neurotransmitter levels, and steroid hormone pathways and how DNA and functional testing can help inform nutritional therapy protocols to achieve and support hormone balance, fertility and pregnancy.

Angela Heap is an experienced nutritionist focusing on hormones, fertility & pregnancy, and is skilled in the use of genetic & functional testing to provide personalised nutrition and lifestyle support.

Emma Beswick is a graduate of CNM, registered nutritional therapist and founder of Lifecode Gx.

Lifecode Gx provides genetic testing, reporting and educational seminars for health professionals. Our founding team of nutritional therapists and geneticists have created actionable, relevant, personalised reports to enable practitioners and clients to achieve optimal health and performance. www.lifecodegx.com
