Creatine Supplementation – Non-Muscular Applications

Creatine has long been associated with sports and performance nutrition - but emerging research suggests its benefits extend far beyond muscle. From brain health and fatigue management to potential applications in other conditions and stages of life, creatine may have an important role in clinical dietetic practice.

The Dietitians’ Roundtable is a collaborative space designed by dietitians, for dietitians.
These sessions are not lectures - they’re interactive discussions where everyone contributes their experience, insights, and questions.

Our next session will focus on:
“Creatine Supplementation – Beyond the Gym”

Together, we’ll explore:
💭 The latest evidence for creatine in non-muscular health applications (e.g. cognition, mood, fatigue, and ageing)
💭 Mechanisms of action and safety considerations
💭 How creatine might fit into dietetic recommendations and protocols
💭 Where the research gaps and uncertainties lie

Format & Expectations:
🖥️ Online discussion via Google Meet (45–60 minutes)
👥 Small-group format (maximum 10 participants)
💬 Everyone contributes - bring your experiences, research, or questions
🤝 Moderated to ensure a balanced, evidence-based, and non-judgemental discussion

Session Objectives:
✔️ Deepen your understanding of creatine beyond sports nutrition
✔️ Share and learn from peers’ experiences and emerging research
✔️ Identify key evidence gaps and future clinical applications
✔️ Leave with practical takeaways for use in dietetic practice
