Race, ethnicity, and culture are all terms which we have an everyday sense of, but how deeply do we really understand them? What assumptions underlie these concepts, and how do they influence our perception of ourselves, others, and the world?

This reflective and thought-provoking CPD workshop is designed for therapists and other helping professionals who wish to deepen their understanding of these constructs and their impact on practice.

FACILITATOR: HARAN RASALINGAM

Haran is an existential psychotherapist of mixed heritage with a specialist interest in racial, ethnic, cultural, and linguistic identity. He trained at Regent’s College, where he completed his Psychotherapy Master’s thesis on the lived experience of mixed-race identity. A Linguistics graduate and avid proponent of Wittgenstein’s philosophy of language, Haran brings a unique, reflective approach to these themes.
