Event Information
About this event
In response to our commitment to ensuring we include and amplify the voices of autistic women of colour at SWAN, Laura Bilton will lead this important webinar on 'How to be an Autistic Anti-Racist'.
We strongly encourage you to prioritise attending this session so we can make a joint commitment to work together to learn about race and racism and consider how we, as autistic peple, can be allies.
Laura will discuss the following topics:
•What is “Race”.
•Racism as a structure.
•The Impact of racism on racialized people
•Links between racism and ableism.
•How you can be an autistic ally
SWAN webinars are a safe, informal, autistic-led space for all women and non-binary people* who have been diagnosed or self-identify as autistic. You are free to participate as little or as much as you feel comfortable - talk, join in the text chat, stim, bring your pets along, or just watch and listen with your camera on or off.
The webinar wil be held on Zoom from 5:30pm - 7pm.
