Session 1: The Power of Storytelling and why it matters for your organisation.

In this introductory session, we’ll explore the foundations of effective storytelling and why it matters for your organisation.

Topics include:

• Why storytelling is essential for fundraising, community engagement, and organisational clarity

• How your story connects to your mission, objectives, and individual projects

• Techniques for blending emotion and data: using lived experience, team voices, partner input, and statistics

• Identifying your audiences and tailoring your story to different fundraising opportunities

Reflection Activity: Between sessions, you’ll be encouraged to reflect on a time you told your story well—what worked, and why?
