About this event

  • Event lasts 1 hour

Join Passion4Social for a practical 60-minute webinar exploring the intersection of digital accessibility and the law.

Whether you are a web designer, developer, content creator, policy decision-maker, or a leader in the field of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion, understanding your legal responsibilities around accessibility is important, not just for compliance, but to create better digital experiences for everyone.

During this session, we will guide you through:

  • What digital accessibility really means
  • The ways inaccessible digital products negatively impact users and organisations
  • Key legislation that applies to your digital products and services (EU, UK and global treaties)
  • Practical strategies for improving accessibility and achieving legal compliance

This session is a must-attend for those looking to develop a clearer understanding of legal standards and take practical, ethical, and inclusive steps forward.

Meet the Speaker

Thiago Carmo is the Managing Director of Passion4Social and a recognised leader in web accessibility and digital inclusion.

With over two decades of experience in accessibility, legal compliance, digital design, and marketing, Thiago is perfectly placed to lead this session.

For more than seven years, Thiago has been at the forefront of a team, creating sustainable employment opportunities for people with disabilities and from minority backgrounds.

A key part of this impact has been the Accessibility For All project—an initiative delivered in partnership with Connect Three and funded by the Scottish Government’s Workplace Equality Fund.

Under Thiago’s direction, the project has delivered nearly 100 accessibility audits across sectors and made real progress toward stronger accessibility legislation in Scotland.

Through our digital marketing services, we demonstrate just what is possible when people have the right support in place to reach their full potential.

Our Accessibility For All webinars also provide practical solutions, insights and lived experiences to help organisations build more accessible, inclusive workplaces.
