Digital Citizenship: Training Webinar for Teachers & Youth Workers
Event Information
About this Event
When research suggests that young people spend more than 44 hours per week in front of screens and an average of 32 hours per week on social media, it's vital that they know how to use the internet safely.
That's why Beatfreeks is delivering Be Internet Citizens, a free comprehensive training programme for educators, supported by Google.org and YouTube.
This training webinar equips you, their educators, with the tools to teach young people aged 11-18 years how to be safe users of the internet and positive voices online.
Our expert facilitators will deconstruct complex topics with a fun first approach, giving you the confidence and knowledge that you need to be able to teach your young people about Digital Citizenship in an array of educational settings.
‘Be Internet Citizens’ will show you how to teach topics like fake news, biased writing, echo chambers, filter bubbles, emotional manipulation, scapegoating and the 'us versus them' mentality online.
Register for your free place today and join the #BeInternetCitizens movement.
