In a new era of communications schools are searching for ways to engage a tech-savvy generation of parents, share best practice and communicate with local communities and businesses.
This half day seminar offers a holistic introduction to essential communication and social media skills as part of your continuing professional development. This includes understanding the difference between popular social media websites, ways of sharing new thinking with your peers and engaging your local community of parents, businesses and other schools. Your workshop facilitator will provide relevant case studies and offer expert advice.

Who should attend:
This seminar is designed for head teachers and senior school management teams from both primary and secondary schools who have a responsibility for creating and managing their school’s digital identity.
Seminar host:
Dr. Abhay Adhikari
Abhay develops digital engagement strategies for the arts, culture and education sectors. He has worked on a range of global web based projects with private, public and voluntary sector organizations including BBC World Service Trust, British Council and Zubaan. He has hosted Social Media Surgeries in both the UK and India, and helped set up the ‘Thoughts Become Things’ enterprise for a cluster of schools in North Yorkshire. He regularly lectures on enterprise development and recently spoke at TEDxYork.

Please note that we are unable to accept offline payments, except for group bookings of more than eight delegates where a booking fee applies. A non-refundable booking fee of £25 per booking (not per delegate) will be payable for offline bookings. Invoices must be paid within 14 days of issue or by 7 days from the date of the seminar, if payment is not receieved booked places will be released.
