About this event
Digital Confidence for Safer Communities: Where Good Digital Skills Meet Effective Safeguarding
Based on research from church and Christian organisations, we've identified a need to bring together the important topics of digital skills and safeguarding together in one workshop. The aim is to help you develop confidence with digital skills and how to safeguard your communities when engaging online.
This workshop builds on existing safeguarding practices and will show you how to apply to digital spaces that you may already be familiar with i.e. WhatsApp, Zoom/Teams meetings. We'll also talk about the rise or new digital platforms and tools and how to assess what tools should be adopted for your type of organisation activity.
Who is the workshop for?
- Church and faith-based organisation leaders
- Charity and non-profit staff and volunteers
- Community group coordinators
- Anyone working with vulnerable people in an online capacity
What You'll Gain

We'll also provide a session recording (available for download) and a Includes: Session recording + Digital Skills & Safeguarding PDF guide to share with your church or Christian organisation.
