Event description
Understand the different ways you can monetise your creative talent. Translate your skills to different audiences, build your income streams

About this Event

As a creative, your craft is your most valuable skill. Understanding the different ways you can monetise this is key in creating a sustainable business model. Translating your skills to the needs of different audiences allows you to identify income streams you were previously unaware of and build your portfolio of income streams.

THIS IS AN ONLINE EVENT

This event is part of the Cratis Summer Digital Sessions, talks centered around a central theme with a presentation or panel from an influential figure in the field.

In this online discussion, we will be chatting with Frazer Merrick about understanding the different ways you can monetize your creative talent.

Takeaways

  • How to identify your unique creative talents
  • How to understand the breadth of monetization streams ahead of you
  • How to build your income stream portfolio with proper planning and time
  • What target audiences can benefit from your skills

The event is open to everyone in the Creative and Digital Industries.

About the speaker

I use field recordings, circuit bending and synthesis to create experiences which explore the act of play. Using lo-fi technologies I transform a space or object, encouraging the audience to become a curious performer and embrace play through interactivity, improvisation and collaboration. My work materialises as playful interactive sculptures, transportive soundscapes and empowering educational projects.

As a sound artist working in Essex, England, I work across films, video games and interactive installations. I have exhibited at venues including Firstsite, Nottingham Contemporaries and Turner Contemporary as well as producing work with Channel 4 and the BBC. Additionally, I’m also Education Coordinator at Signals and co-founder of CLIP – a young peoples experimental music ensemble.
