Digital Democracy: ensure older visually impaired voices heard online
Thu 30 June 2016, 11:00 – 14:00 BST
As part of Age UK London’s Fit4 Purpose programme we are running a Digital Democracy workshop in partnership with the Pocklington Trust and East London Vision.
This workshop is one of a series of digital sessions aimed at older Londoners small groups and organisations, helping them to save money, cut costs, work smarter and stay in touch by using many free resources online.
This particular workshop is a great opportunity to ensure that the voice of older Londoners is heard online especially those with visual impairments.
We will look in brief at the following topics:
• How to find your local councillor, London Assembley Member, MP, MEP etc
• How to feed into local, regional and national consultations online
• Using IT to make your voice heard and influence change
If you do have your own digital device (eg smartphone or tablet computer) please feel free to bring it along with you.
YOU DO NOT NEED TO PRINT OUT THE TICKET AS ONCE YOU HAVE REGISTERED YOUR DETAILS YOU WILL BE ON THE GUEST LIST.
